Scheduling 2024-2025

All students should meet with their school counselors to select courses for the 2024/2025 school year by March 1, 2024. Teachers have already submitted course recommendations for all students. Should you have any questions or concerns about a recommendation please contact the student's teacher.

The 2024/2025 Course Selection Sheet contains a listing of all the courses available at West Morris Central High School. Students and counselors will work together to complete this sheet and submit course requests for the 2024/2025 school year.

Families may access the West Morris Regional High School District 2024/2025 Program of Studies for course descriptions, graduation requirements, and school programs & policies.

These requests will be used to construct the master schedule; determine the availability of courses; set the number of course sections; and set staff assignments for the 2024/2025 school year.  Consequently, no changes to a student’s course request may be made after the March 15, 2024 deadline.

Please contact your counselor with any questions or concerns.

Visit Graduation Requirements for additional information.

Senior Internship Information

Students may pursue a genuine interest that is not part of the regular school curriculum through paid or unpaid internships, volunteer community service, career exploration/shadowing, or other options. Participants must:
● Be in good academic standing.
● Have earned at least 100 credits by the end of the junior year.
● Meet all West Morris Regional graduation guidelines.
● Carry 20 credits in courses provided by West Morris Regional in their senior year schedule.
● Work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week.

Students wishing to pursue this option must have administrative approval and should explore plans with their school counselor during their junior year.
Academic credit for activities associated with career exploration (Senior Internship, IT Internship, Work Based Learning) will be determined based on the number of hours worked in consultation with the administration. A school-based coordinator will
review the details of the option and the hours that a student will spend pursuing this program.

Interested students may voluntarily select work-based learning to complement classroom instruction. The experience may be paid or unpaid, may or may not be sponsored by the district, and can include the following options:
pre-apprenticeships, apprenticeships, community service, internships, job shadowing, school-based experiences, vocational student organization activities, volunteer activities, and work experience/career exploration. All activities shall adhere to
state and federal wage(when applicable), hour, and child labor laws, as well as state and federal regulations and hazardous orders.
